September 2002 Meeting Minutes for The Pointe
BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, September 17, 2002
Call to order:
By: Gregg Stroud, President
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Offices of Miami Management
1145 Sawgrass Corporate Pkwy.
Sunrise, FL 33323
Determination of Quorum:
Board members present were: Gregg Stroud, Money (Santos) Asencio, Leanne Valdes and Tammy Melton.
Board members absent were: Scott Whitten
The Chairperson announced that a quorum was present.
Representing Miami Management: LeeAnn Mattioli
Confirmation of Proper Meeting Notice:
Notice was posted on the property at least 48 hours prior to the meeting in accordance with Florida Statutes.
Approval of minutes:
The minutes of the August 20, 2002 board meeting were approved as submitted.
Discussion:
Collections: Money submitted checks from two homeowners for past due maintenance.
Newsletter: Next newsletter to be sent in November discussing parking issues during the holiday season.
Violations:
Money submitted violation catalogue with additions and deletions. Other violations were discussed and decisions were made on how to handle them.
Parking: Tammy suggested that letters sent regarding parking violations state that violation applies to all vehicles belonging to the household to deter homeowner from rotating cars that get tagged.
Sealcoating: Striping of roads was done as per the original site plan from the City of Sunrise. Manager to contact Bob Holland from Atlantic Southern Paving and Sealcoating to inquire whether or not a City inspection was requested and/or performed. Manager to also inquire about touch ups due to paint dropping left by All Service Refuge truck.
Budget: Manager to supply Board with copy of proposed 2003 budget within the next week. Budget meeting to be incorporated with October 15th Board of Directors Meeting.
Lakes: Manager to contact Master Association regarding alligator nesting near avocado tree behind 1385 NW 129th Way.
Maintenance: Money requesting new maintenance person or will withhold monthly payment for $50.00. Not sweeping entrances or spraying weeds as advised.
Miscellaneous: Manager to call regarding class action for Polybutylene plumbing.
Motions:
Motion to have Association pay towing costs for 2 vehicles relocated during sealcoating project if billed by Speedy Towing.
