BOARD MEETING
Tuesday, May 20, 2003

Call to order:
By:          Tammy Melton, Secretary
Time:       7:15 p.m.
Location:  Offices of Miami Management
              1145 Sawgrass Corporate Pkwy.
              Sunrise, FL  33323

Determination of Quorum:
Board members present were: Money (Santos) Asencio, Tammy Melton, Leanne Valdes and Scott Whitten.
Board members absent were: Gregg Stroud
The Chairperson announced that a quorum was present.
Representing Miami Management: LeeAnn Mattioli
Representing the Sunrise Police Dept.: Officer David McCahn

Confirmation of Proper Meeting Notice:
Notice was posted on the property at least 48 hours prior to the meeting in accordance with Florida Statutes.

Approval of minutes:
The minutes of the April 15, 2003 board meeting was approved as submitted.

Discussion:

• Officer McCahn updated those members present on crime statistics, community awareness, upcoming events, websites, etc.  Manager to include information in the next newsletter.
• Manager to instruct maintenance supervisor to have janitor spend all four (4) monthly hours if needed spraying the weeds throughout the community, pick up palm fronds and clean mailbox area.
• Manager to include tree trimming issue in next newsletter.
• Manager to schedule pressure cleaning of sidewalks with Atlantic Pressure cleaning for the week prior to Thanksgiving.
• Manager to contact Facilities Cleaning & Maintenance and get a schedule for the street sweeping.

Motion:  To retain Katzman & Korr as the Association’s attorney and cancel Carlos Triay.

Motion:  To send a demand letter to a home on NW 129th Ave. advising that if the current violations are not resolved within five (5) days, the Association will correct the violations and backcharge then owner’s account.

Next meeting will be Tuesday, June 17th, 2003 at 7 p.m.
